A popular campaign for cheetahs has become governmental

“M. Kolantari! Were those 800 million tomans worth crushing people’s trust?”

Last month, a few days before the Cheetah’s National Day, a comity setup by Amir Hosseini Khaleghi, expert at the Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation and Hedieh Tehrani, a film actress, collected 800 million tomans in donations to buy 12 sheepfolds in Turan National Park. (and transform them into protected areas). People who donated have now found out that the campaign was co-organised by the Department of the Environment for its own budget.
